IFFA 2019: the referent exhibition of the meat industry worldwide presented its news in Tecno Fidta

Its representatives highlighted the local and international meat market potential and advanced how they are getting ready for the next edition.

Within the framework of Tecno Fidta 2018 –the 14th International Food Technology, Additives and Ingredients Trade Fair that is carried out these days in Costa Salguero Center of Buenos Aires- it took place the presentation of IFFA 2019, the most important exhibition of the meat industry worldwide, that takes place every three years in the city of Frankfurt, Germany.

During a conference given yesterday, the IFFA's Director, Mr. Johannes Schmid-Wiedersheim, presented some of the news that will be seen in the next edition of the event and the main subjects on which it will be focused, among them: optimized production, resource efficiency, food security, as well as gastronomic trends, among them.

Within this framework, the executive also offered some interesting data of the Argentine meat industry, such as that in 2017 the country positioned in the ninth place -in a ranking of 30 countries- in fresh meat commercialization, with 3,381 tons produced during this year and a projection of 3,851 tons for 2022. IFFA's representatives highlighted the local meat market attraction and the importance of the presence of its referents in next year edition.

In the conference, it also took part VDMA -Food Processing and Packing Machinery-, an entity that gathers the important industry of German machinery. Its Head of Marketing and Communication, Mrs. Magret Menzel, said that the meat market is currently growing worldwide and gave data of global production during 2017, that was near 1,072 million euros, with a projection to 2026 of 1,479 million euros. In this line, it also highlighted that, regarding meat production value, Latin America is positioned in the second place worldwide, with a 51% increase, if 2017 value is compared to 2016 one.

Furthermore, during the presentation, it was said that for IFFA 2019, there will be a new fair pavilion, conceived under the optimized premises concept, which provides a larger exhibition area. Likewise, IFFA's Director stated that under the slogan “Meet the Best”, the technological foundations for the future will be laid again, and the whole meat industry range will be presented, from manufacture to high technology. 

These and other activities related to the food technology industry will take place up to Friday, September 21 in Tecno Fidta, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Costa Salguero Center. 

The exhibition is only for businessmen and professionals of the sector.  With an invitation: free of charge. People under 18 years will not be admitted, even if attending with an adult. Baby strollers are not allowed.
